What it is
The HeavenSent Sidebar Gadget from GreyCastle provides a verse of the day reading from
Bible Gateway® in a convenient and attractive format. It supports all the different
Bible languages and translations available from Bible Gateway, and includes a quick link
to open the BibleGateway.com® site directly.
How it works
Bible Gateway has a Verse of the Day service which provides a daily verse over the internet.
HeavenSent displays this verse, and allows the user to select from the many available versions
and translations provided by Bible Gateway. In order to make the gadget more interesting and
convenient, the verse is scrolled across a simulated parchment. The scrolling can be paused
indefinitely, or scrolled repeatedly. Also, the parchment itself can be unrolled for reading,
or rolled up to save desktop space. The roll and unroll action can be automatic or manual, based
on a gadget setting.
